Labour Day Parade, Monday, September 1

As usual, YUFA was well-represented at this year’s Labour Day parade (see photos), along with thousands of other union members from across the province (some sporting “Elbows Up” T-shirts). Members and their families enjoyed a visit to the Canadian National Exhibition afterwards.

YUFA has divested from Scotiabank

YUFA has completed the transfer of its liquid investments from Scotia McLeod’s management, in accordance with the motion passed by the YUFA membership last November.   As remaining term deposits come due, they are also being transferred out of Scotiabank for investment management.

Update on bargaining with the union that represents YUFA staff
