On November 8, 2023, YUFA supported the York Federation of Students in its participation in the National Day of Action.
During the Day of Action students at York University and from across Canada called for free education for all; grants not loans; and education justice.
Professor Patrick Phillips, Vice President External of YUFA, gave a short speech emphasizing YUFA's support of all York students on the punitive impact of increasing student fees. He also noted the dangers of a two-tier, post-secondary landscape, with only access for the wealthy.
