Video highlights work of YUFA's Community Projects

YUFA's Community Projects has recently launched a video, which highlights a range of community organizations and initiatives that YUFA has supported over the past few years. As the video shows, YUFA’s commitment to our neighbours and to social justice work in the Greater Toronto Area is profound and having a big impact.

"We are very proud of the commitments illustrated in this video, and would like to share it with YUFA membership at large," says Prof. Jennifer Foster, Co-Chair of Community Projects. "It is a great way for YUFA members to become aware of the critical work that our union is performing."

The groups featured in the video are a sample of the innovative, front-line work that is happening in the Jane-Finch community and across Toronto. This is a network of partners that is enriching educational outcomes, health, stable housing, environmental sustainability, food security, workers’ rights, and the well-being of youth and families, among other initiatives.

"We really want to shine a light on the many community groups that are working to advance equity and justice in the city," says Foster.
