As per Article 7.06 of the Collective Agreement, the Joint Benefits Subcommittee maintains communication between the parties regarding benefits, and discusses, among other matters, the form, frequency, modes of distribution, and content of regular updates on claiming trends, plan details, benefits statements, a benefits magazine, and ongoing issues regarding individual benefits claims.
The Subcommittee, when necessary, may also discuss revising the Supplemental Benefits Program and benefits for members of the bargaining unit who have retired from the University. The Subcommittee shall meet at least once every three (3) months and shall submit a summary report of its activities to the JCOAA once annually, between February 1 and March 31.
