Employer Unresponsive to COVID-19-related Bargaining Proposals

On February 11th, in response to a general membership motion, the YUFA Executive, along with members and staff, launched a survey of members’ view on return-to-campus plans in the context of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.

A total of 564 members participated in this survey.  Please find a summary and breakdown of the responses to this questionnaire here.

First, please note that the YUFA Bargaining Team has tabled several pandemic-related proposals with the employer which reflect members’ serious concerns about their working conditions since the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic. These bargaining proposals:

So far, the employer has not responded to these YUFA proposals.

The YUFA Executive has scheduled a Special General Members Meeting to discuss the upcoming strike mandate vote. The meeting will be held February 22 at 1pm. The vote will begin immediately after the meeting, and end on Feb 28th.
