OCUFA Request for Solidarity
Like other government initiatives in the postsecondary sector, this one proposes a solution that doesn’t address the sector's actual problems. You can read OCUFA’s full submission to the province on Bill 166 here.
The legislature will likely meet on May 6 to discuss this matter, which means we only have a few days to demonstrate groundswell opposition to this bill.
I am asking you to support the calls to action by our academic colleagues in The Coalition Against Political Interference in Public Research and Education in Ontario before May 3:
- Print, sign, and ask your members to sign, this paper petition and deliver to the MPPs listed in the instructions by May 3. This action is the priority since written petitions will be read into the legislature and appear on the official record.
- Send an email to MPPs using this link, and share with your members and networks.
