YUFA has sent the following letter raising concerns around the September 18 Town Hall.

Dear President Lenton and Provost Philipps,

We write regarding the September 18, 2025, Town Hall.

We are troubled by the fact that, once again, there was a last-minute shift from in-person to online format. Moreover, we are disturbed that the number of online participants was limited to 1,000 when the university community has tens of thousands of members. That the YouTube backup livestream only admitted some community members quite late in the meeting and allowed no input from the many who sought to participate, is highly problematic and effectively excluded many members of the community. We expect a stronger, more caring, respectful, and conclusive response to the appalling campus attack on a student by a vigilante group member that occurred two days before the Town Hall.
