The results of the ratification votes are now in, and YUFA is pleased to announce that the tentative agreement is ratified. The results of the vote are as follows:
Yes votes: 1212
No votes: 126
Number of ballots cast: 1343 (including five abstentions)
Our collective efforts in mobilizing a strong strike vote helped to defend our collective agreement against unacceptable concessions. They also helped our Bargaining Team win important improvements in the challenging context of the provincial wage restraint legislation.
As many members commented during our Membership Meeting, YUFA bargaining, communications, and strong member mobilization have brought new levels of engagement that will help us navigate the issues that face us in years to come.
