YUFA continues to support our colleagues who hold Special Renewable Contracts

YUFA continues to defend several of the 18 YUFA colleagues who hold Special Renewable Contracts (SRCs). Some contracts were not renewed where they should have been; this is unacceptable. YUFA is taking all measures available to remediate the situation. The non-renewal of contracts has been referred to mediation / arbitration and we are fighting those members’ termination, as we will fight any SRC non-renewals in the future. The Employer's targeting of some of these colleagues for dismissal is an unconscionable tactic and YUFA will continue to firmly defend our members' Collective Agreement rights.
