When can a strike or lockout happen?

A lockout or a strike may be called 17 calendar days after the “no board” report is issued. The Employer can impose a lockout anytime from then on (see FAQ what is a lockout?).  The union can take strike or other job action after this point (see FAQ what is a strike?), but with the added requirement of having had a successful strike vote (see FAQ what is a strike vote?)
