In conjunction with other campus groups -- the YUFA Indigenous Caucus, CUPE 3903, the Race Equity Caucus, and the Cross-Campus Alliance -- YUFA is holding a Teach-In against program suspensions at Vari Hall tomorrow, Tuesday Feb 25th, following the Indigenous Studies/Indigenous Caucus Event tomorrow morning (that event starts at 10:30 at the Centre for Indigenous Languages and Knowledges, 353 B York Lanes - see poster attached and text further below).
The Teach-In will start with a procession from York Lanes to Vari Hall at 1pm, with the Teach-In starting at 1:15 (until 2:30). All YUFA members are strongly encouraged to attend, and where pedagogically appropriate consider bringing your classes. Please note the Teach-In coincides with the virtual York University Board of Governors Meeting at 1:30.
There will be an art/poster-making session at 12:45 at the Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Languages, 353B York Lanes, from 10:30 – 1 pm. All welcome.
Then, meet at York Lanes elevator lobby (near York Lanes medical clinic) to walk to Vari Hall.

The event opens with readings and continues into creating art, and to share food - followed by a collective walk to a teach-in at Vari Hall – come rally to show our strength in solidarity with the Indigenous and allied community.
