The Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) is seeking support for its Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit (CASBU). CASBU has been in bargaining for a new collective agreement since June 2025 and has recently received a no board report, with a possible strike date in early February.
CASBU members teach 56.7% of the courses at Nipissing University but are the lowest paid sessional faculty in Ontario. The Employer's most recent offer would only see these faculty members fall further behind their peers, in addition to asking for concessions on job security and other member rights.
Please show your support for CASBU by sending a letter to Nipissing University's President and its Board of Governors asking them to negotiate a fair deal. The letter can be found HERE.
