YUFA colleagues are reminded to raise in Faculty Councils that faculty representatives on Senate committees provide service to the university (as part of their jobs as per Articles 11 and 17 of the YUFA Collective Agreement) and represent their Council colleagues. They should have time on Council agendas to report back, consult with members in their unit, and otherwise serve as conduits for information and views as part of their service work on Senate and its committees.
Also, please ask in Faculty Councils how many courses have been cancelled in the unit, and when? If you get answers, please send the information to YUFA. YUFA needs unit-level data on this. Thanks!
