The September 20th rally saw hundreds of York University employees march in solidarity on campus in support of negotiations to increase wages that have been unconstitutionally limited by the Ford government to one percent for three years.
YUFA was well represented at the rally, with Vice-President, External, Patrick Phillips speaking at the rally, along with leaders of other unions at York. Please see a video showing the size of the rally here.

As a result of the rally and of a petition submitted collectively by four of the unions on campus, the University met with the unions concerned last Friday. The Employer has agreed to enter into negotiations with the unions. Please see the attached letter from the Employer. YUFA will continue to keep members updated.
