Laurentian University faculty are approaching a strike deadline on January 19. The government’s Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) Exit Loan deal has the Laurentian University Faculty Association (LUFA) negotiating with one hand tied behind its back—blocking movement on the issues that matter most: a fair path to a secure pension plan, pay that actually keeps up, and workloads that don’t push people to burnout.
Join the Laurentian University Faculty Association and OCUFA in calling on the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security and the Laurentian University Board of Governors to lift the remaining CCAA Exit Loan Agreement restrictions and end the Ministry-imposed approval and oversight on Laurentian’s financial mandate and collective bargaining.
The extraordinary controls imposed under the CCAA process are no longer justified.
YUFA members are asked to tell the government it’s time to let LUFA and the Laurentian community move forward through fair and free collective bargaining. Send an email today here.
