At Friday's special General Membership Meeting, YUFA members expressed a desire to support CUPE members' efforts to achieve a fair and equitable settlement as quickly as possible. To that end, we are sharing information about two opportunities to support CUPE members, for any YUFA members who are interested:
- Call to organize YUFA visits to department-based picket lines
- Cross-Campus Alliance solidarity visit
1. Call to organize YUFA visits to department-based picket lines
A number of YUFA members have expressed interest in organizing department-based visits to picket lines.
CUPE members are assigned to picket lines by department. To see which departments are assigned to each picket line, please click here.
CUPE picket lines take place week days from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. at all entrances to the Keele campus and to Glendon College.
If you're interested in organizing/being notified about a visit by YUFA members to the picket line where CUPE colleagues in your department are picketing, please email [email protected] (subject line: CUPE support).
2. Cross-Campus Alliance solidarity visit
For YUFA members who might be interested in joining this activity, the York Cross-Campus Alliance (CCA) will visit the picket line at Main Gate on Monday, in support of CUPE 3903 members:
