Call for YUFA members to serve on the Bargaining Support Committee

As YUFA bargains an updated Collective Agreement with the Employer this summer, YUFA is calling for volunteers to work with the Vice President Internal (Art Redding), Chief Negotiator (Richard Wellen), the YUFA Executive, and designated stewards, on our Bargaining Support Committee.  We are seeking colleagues with expertise in particular bargaining priority areas such as pay equity / anomalies, intellectual property / AI, and collegial governance, as well as individuals willing to help organize YUFA's outreach to members at the unit level, prepare for job action as necessary, and support our Bargaining Team in other ways.

Call for YUFA members to serve on the Communications Committee

YUFA is seeking volunteers with interest and / or experience in communications to assist the Executive in building strong links with members, other York unions and organizations, and press contacts.   The committee will help update and streamline communication channels, enhance YUFA's social media and web presence, renew distribution lists, strengthen links with other organizations, and handle communications priorities as they arise.
