The York University Centre for Sexual Violence Response, Support & Education invites members of the university community to take action as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence — an annual international campaign running from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day).
Throughout the 16 days, The Centre and partners from across the University host community events, talks, workshops and activities focused on the theme Resistance Through Rest, which emphasizes the importance of self-care, rest and healing as forms of resistance against gender-based violence.
More information is available here or please see the poster below. All events are open to faculty, staff and students – however spaces are limited.
