Two-thirds of YUFA members at Special General Membership meeting support non-confidence motion in the university's senior leadership

At a YUFA Special General Membership Meeting on April 10, 2024, two-thirds (67%) of members voted in favour of a motion calling for the resignation of the President, Provost, and Chair of the Board of Governors of York University.

Members noted the financial and administrative mismanagement at the university, the lack of collegiality, and recent decisions made by senior administrators that have harmed the institution. The full text of the rationale and motion can be found here.

The YUFA Executive Committee expresses its gratitude to all the members who attended the meeting and shared their perspectives.
