YUFA is seeking a nominee to serve as YUFA’s representative on the All-University Pension Committee (AUPC) for a term of three years

The ideal candidate for this position is a colleague interested in monitoring the York University Pension Plan and working with other employee groups and the Employer in considering ways to improve the plan and its administration.

The AUPC is a pension advisory committee comprised of representatives from the major employee groups at the university as well as members of the senior administration and the Pension and Benefits Office. The AUPC normally meets three times per year and has a mandate to review, discuss and learn about issues related to the York University Pension Plan and to make recommendations regarding pension benefits issues. The Plan Actuary attends one meeting per year (in Spring) to report on the financial health of the Plan.

The YUFA representative on AUPC also sits on the YUFA Pension Committee

Approval process:  The YUFA Executive Committee recommends the nominee and Stewards’ Council ratifies the individual nominated (YUFA By-Laws, #2; Constitution, Article 4.1). The University formally appoints the YUFA member to the committee.

If you are interested, please send your nomination or self-nomination to [email protected] by February 20, along with a short statement outlining your interest in the position and any relevant skills.
