Please share the information below with your classes and students, and please join us, as we ask: "What kind of university do we want to create?" Students, faculty, staff, community members are all welcome. The event is supported by the Resource Centre for Public Sociology, at the Department of Sociology.
Come learn about existing campaigns to transform the university and discuss:
1. A democratic university
2. A university that nurtures just relationships with neighbouring communities
3. A decolonized university
4. A university that helps all to thrive, create and learn
After hearing about existing campaigns, there will be small group discussions designed to create a new university.
From 3:00 to 7:00pm on Thursday, November 6 in HNES 140. Dinner provided and ASL available on request.
