As part of the settlement of a grievance between YUFA and the Employer, an annual fund of $1M to support research intensification and research administration functions for faculty members, librarians, and archivists was established several years ago. Each eligible YUFA member can receive up to $5,000 annually from the York Research Support Grant.

Awards are made on a first come, first served basis. The application window runs from 9:00AM on Monday July 7, 2025, to 7:59AM on Monday July 21, 2025. The office of the York University Vice-president Research and Innovation will begin to announce results of application review on Monday July 28, 2025.
