A year from now YUFA will be entering negotiations to renew our collective agreement with the employer. At this stage of preparation the YUFA Executive Committee would like to invite you to indicate the concerns or problems you have encountered that might inform our bargaining preparation for the 2015 round of negotiations. We also welcome your suggestions regarding specific bargaining issues or proposals.
There are two ways to provide your input:
1. Send comments or suggestions about bargaining issues to email@example.com.
2. Request a meeting with members of our contract review group by sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating available or preferred dates and times.
All written or oral feedback we receive will be kept confidential within our contract review group (composed of Executive and YUFA staff).
Other forms of membership input prior to bargaining will include the following:
1. A full membership survey about bargaining issues will be conducted in the early fall.
2. By late 2014 the draft primary negotiating positions will be presented for review and approval to the Stewards’ Council and at a general membership meeting.
Finally, we anticipate that negotiations would commence no later than April or May of next year.
